We woke today to another crisis of national identity. Political violence carried out by the self-righteous. Failing governance driven by greed.

I have the power to sit still for five minutes.

While the world around me continues to move, there are no immediate threats. My basic needs are met and I take my seat back at the center.

When my seat at the center is disrupted by outside noise:

I recognize my mind

I quiet my mind

Now is the time to pay attention
